In 2015, Pope Frances wrote Laudate Si, his encyclical on climate change and climate justice, subtitled "On Care for our Common Home". In the film "the Letter" Pope Francis brings together those on the frontline of climate change, from indigenous leaders in the Amazon to those studying the effects on our oceans, for a discussion on the growing crisis and our responsibilities for the care of our common home.

The film is a call to action, and so after the screening we will have some time to agree what next steps we can take as individuals, as a parish, and as part of the wider community.
