Arrangements for lockdown from 5th November 2020

Dear Parishioners,

As part of the government's lockdown requirements for the period November 5th to December 2nd, all places of worship must be closed to public liturgy. St Margaret’s, unfortunately will have to remain closed for Mass over the next four weeks. Churches may remain open for private prayer, and St Margaret’s will be open on Saturday mornings from 10:30am to 1:00pm, and at other times by request.

The following Mass schedule will be available on Youtube:
Sunday - 10:30am (with music)
Weekdays - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday - 10:00am
Rosary (via Zoom) - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday - 9:30am

May I remind you, on a much more positive note that the Parish Advent programme, 'The Joy of Hope', will take place on Mondays at 2:00pm, and Wednesdays at 8:00pm starting the week beginning Monday 23rd November. A link will be advertised nearer the time.

On Friday 4th December the parish musicians will be leading an Advent Service, as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas. The service will include hymns and readings, and last from 7:30pm to 8:45pm. A link will be advertised nearer the time.

This second lockdown will try the patience of everyone, and may well have severe economic consequences, but it will not last for ever, and our waiting to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ will give us all hope at this time. We pray that the country and world be delivered form this pandemic and a more religious and just society emerge afterwards.

With good wishes
Fr Peter

Remember that you need to book in advance for the Sunday 10.30am Mass. Bookings will open on Monday morning and close at 6.00pm on Saturday evening. The booking link can be found on the home page of the website.

After all masses this week and next we are doing an urgent collection of food and items for the community foodbank at St Pauls church  in Hounslow West.

Hounslow has been hit very badly with both the pandemic and subsequent job losses in an area where there is already a lot of hardship. The foodbank at St Pauls has had over a 300% increase in people needing their support since this time last year. This figure continues to steadily increase. We would like as a parish to respond to St.Pauls appeal to other churches for help.

Please help by bringing anything from the lists below to add to our appeal. No matter how small , together we can all really help to make a difference.

Thank you for whatever you are able to bring to put in the boxes; it is very much appreciated.
