Parish outreach leaflet drop
We hope to deliver a leaflet advertising the Christmas church services at St Margaret’s to every house in the parish. That is approximately 120 streets. Could you take a street – or two and deliver over the next two weeks? The leaflets are bagged up and set up at the back of church. If you live outside the geographical parish, feel free to take any street! Please return the small hessian bag back to the parish so we can use it again next year.

We appreciate any assistance in getting this project completed.

Advent giving tree
Our Advent giving tree is up at the back of the church. Please take a label or two. The labels on the tree are for the children, with a task and prayer for them to carry out for the Advent season, while the labels in the basket under the tree are for the adults and give ideas of requested donations to buy for The Passage and Spear.

All donations should be brought to the church on the Third Sunday of Advent (15th December) and no earlier. Please note that late donations may not be delivered.

Wed 13th November: Holy Hour - 7.00 – 8.00 pm
Cardinal Vincent Nichols calls for Catholics to pray to uphold the dignity of human life.

In light of the bill passing through parliament that seeks to legalise assisted suicide, the Cardinal has called for Catholics to pray to uphold the dignity of human life, especially on Wednesday 13th November. At St Margaret’s we will hold an additional Holy Hour from 7 –8 pm on Wednesday 13th immediately following the evening Mass. Please consider coming to pray, even if only for a little while.

Right to Life
You may have heard that MPs will vote before Christmas on an extreme Bill that, if successful, will legalise assisted suicide. This Bill is the most serious threat to vulnerable lives since the Abortion Act was introduced in 1967. It’s now crucial that all MPs and the Government urgently see that there is a large number of voters in each constituency who don’t want this dangerous and extreme change to our laws - changes that would put the vulnerable at risk and see the ending of many lives through assisted suicide.
